How to make your Shopify store convert

A great Shopify store is made by having in mind the final user. Everything will be focused on your client. Making a good design doesn’t mean that it will only be beautiful, it means that the overall experience will help your user go to your objective which can be either selling more, informing, or growing an email list.

So how can we do that? There is no cake receipt for that, but there are some terms that will surely help us in the journey.

1 . SEO

2 . Blog

3 . User Experience

4 . Social Proof

5 . Product Pictures

SEO:

The SEO stands for search engine optimization. This is the main thing you will need to have inside your website to get organic results.

The optimization will get your website to appear on the first page of the search engines, if you do it well and with consistency.

First of all, your copywriting must be good. The main focus here is to tell your users what you do and why you’re good at it. Despite most beliefs, this hardly will get you to the first page, because there are a lot of other companies competing with the same terms that you are using to describe your service.

This term, also known as keywords, can be “marketing agency”,fors example. This is very broad to get you into the first positions, so the answer for a good SEO can be good copywriting, but the perfect one needs something called a Blog.

Blog:

The blog helps you build authority and position your store among trustable ones. A blog is made to teach, to inform, and can be made in many ways.

The art of creating content will increase your revenue because it will get solutions to your client’s problems.

If you think about it, it’s not strange for us to search for “best smartphone 2022”, “best platform for ecommerce”, etc.

This search leads you to a blog, where they can have the solution for your problem. This is obvious, but in the backend, it will also help your website in terms of SEO.

With blog writing, you will have keywords to rank for any problem your client may be facing right now.

User Experience:

A good design is something that leads your customers to take the action you want them to.

In life, we often use shortcuts to decide what is deserving of our attention. These shortcuts are called heuristics and help us make complex decisions by using rules that we learned from previous experiences.

The user experience has a lot of study. The best part of having a store on Shopify is that most of the teams are very well-made in terms of experience.

If we take the design side as an improvement for user experience, we can refer to some examples such as good contrast between text and background, an easy-to-read font, an image that shows the best of your product, and many more.

On the strategic side, you need to have good navigation, a well-made menu, a sales funnel inside your website, and a great description, and think of how can you make your client’s buying process easier.

Social Proof:

Today, 92% of consumers read online reviews, and 80% of shoppers trust reviews as much as personal recommendations.

It means that your user is more likely to buy from you if another person leaves a review or even engages with you on any social media.

So, social proof stands for your authority across media channels like YouTube, Facebook, and even your store.

Having this feeling of community will help your brand to stand out, build trust, and sell more.

To do this, enable testimonial sections, review apps, and feature your own social media feed inside the website.

Product Pictures:

Product pictures are the main connection between your client and your actual product. Buying online sometimes can be hard due to the difficulty of seeing properly what you’re buying. Is not easy as the real life.

You can get over that with great product images. Again, not good, GREAT product images.

Along with your Shopify design, this will lead your revenue to better or worse. So if you want to sell more, there are some tips you can follow for your photos:

  • High-quality camera (can be from your smartphone, since it’s good)
  • White background (this will feature the product itself and won’t distract the client)
  • Fit the product inside the frame
  • Take photos from different angles
  • Take zoomed-in photos of product details
  • Have it big in terms of pixels, but small in file size (use tinypng to compress it)

There is a lot more you can do to improve your store, but these are the golden tips to start your commerce in the right way.

With all of that made properly, you will get your revenue to increase your sales and invest more only with your profit.
